Car Insurance Cadillac (Car Insurance). How is a motor boat on gas?How is a motor boat on gas? Im just wondering how a moter boat is on gas, like what are the estimated mpgs of say a 16 foot motor boat with an 80 hp mercury outboard motor? Also what do you think its top speed would be? For a 16 ft boat like a Boston Whaler with an 80 Merc we burned about 3-4 gallons per hour. We cruised around 25 or so with a top end about 35-40. Boats are rated at gallons per hour, not mpg. there are a lot of variables in both parts of that question. and speed has variables that can change on a daily basis, like weight in boat (amount of passengers), wind and water roughness. Cliff is on the right track BUT the big consideration should be whether the motor is 2 stroke/cycle or 4 stroke/cycle. The type of usage will make a big difference in fuel consumption as well. My 21' B Whaler (twin 70 2 stroke Johnson) will burn over 40 gallons a day on a long day fishing trip. That is cover about 120 to 140 miles at various speeds. A pair of 60 Honda s would put a BIG smile on this face. I will take the extra weight and a reduced HP output for my ocean fishing in Mexico Auto parts : Power Steering Pump Pulley Tool Acura 1995 . I love the concept of the m1 (small car, rwd, big hp) but i think that the 1988 m3 is the best driver's car of the three. Just and added note i would modify the m3 to meet the standards of the m1 or close to it, i wouldn't touch the m1, and eventually after i get enough money i would modify the mini a little bit. just wondering what you guys think i should get... car insurance. Cadillac . How to Change a Tire on a GMC With a RatchetChanging a tire on a General Motors Co. (GMC) truck with a ratchet is not much different then changing one with a lug wrench. The only difference is that you will need a lot more strength to loosen and tighten the lug nuts when using a ratchet. You need the correct size lug nut socket for the GMC truck that you are working on. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Lug nut socket Jack Jack stand Step by Step : 1 Park the GMC truck on flat level ground and apply the parking brake. Connect the lug nut socket to the ratchet. Place the square hole on the socket onto the square stem with the small ball on it on the ratchet. Push the socket onto the ratchet until you hear a click. 2 Place the lug nut in the center of the socket one at a time. Position the ratchet on the nut so that you are pulling up on the ratchet. This will give leverage. Pull up on the ratchet until the lug nut comes lose. Repeat for all other lug nuts. 3 Raise that wheel off the ground. Place the jack under the frame next to the wheel. Raise the jack until the wheel comes off the ground and then support the truck using a jack stand. Completely remove the wheel nuts from the tire and pull the tire off the frame. 4 Place the new tire onto the frame and put the lug nuts on the tire. Slightly tighten the lug nuts to secure the new tire to the frame of the GMC truck. 5 Lower the GMC truck to the ground. Completely tighten the lug nuts using the ratchet and socket. Ideally the lug nuts need to be 80 foot-pounds or more. Repeat for any other tire.
Cadillac . How to Change a Tire on a 2008 Dodge ChallengerTire changes are one of the more common fixes that a driver should learn to keep his vehicle in good shape. When tires go flat or begin to lose their tread, it affects the safety and gas mileage of the vehicle. Changing a 2008 Dodge Challenger's tire requires the same steps you would follow to change the tire of any other vehicle. Keep a spare tire, full-size or "donut," in your trunk to meet emergencies. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Car jack Spare tire Tire wrench Step by Step : 1 Place the lifting portion of your jack underneath the Challenger's body, near the tire you are changing. 2 Loosen the lug nuts by turning them to the left with the tire wrench. Do not remove them all the way yet. 3 Jack the car up so that the tire is all the way off the ground with room to spare. 4 Remove the lug nuts by unscrewing them the rest of the way and pulling each off. Keep track of the lug nuts so that you can use them for the spare tire. 5 Pull the tire off and place it away from you so that it doesn't get in the way. 6 Connect the spare tire by aligning its holes with the wheel well bolts. Push the tire into the wheel well so that the bolts go through the holes, allowing the tire to sit in place. 7 Place lug nuts over each hole and screw them firmly so that the spare stays on, but do not tighten them all the way yet. 8 Lower the jack slowly so that all four tires rest on the ground once again. Tighten the lug nuts very firmly the rest of the way so that the spare tire is fully secured. 9 Place the bad tire in the Challenger's trunk and be prepared to give it to the auto shop when it's time for you to get it repaired. *because another part of the vehicle is running roughly. Many squeaks respond well to a lube job (see Chapter 16 for details on doing one yourself). If there is a persistent squeak under the vehicle, your mechanic may be able to install an additional grease fitting in the squeaky area at a low cost. Tweety Bird and other old Mustangs of her vintage were prone to squeaks in the A-frame under the front bumper. A grease fitting on each side of the upper control arm cured the sound effects quickly and cheaply. Smelts Ideally, other than that new-car smell, the only odors you should smell inside your vehicle should come from smelly things that you've put in it: the takeout lunch that you bought at a drive-through, the perfume that your 6-year-old squirted all over herself, your not-so-freshly groomed dog who's pressing his nose against your recently washed windows. You can get rid of persistent odors easily by using Febreze, a spray that eliminates odors rather than masking them. But if you smell any of the items in the following list, take 931

One of your hoses may have come loose and landed on a hot part of the engine. Rescue it before it melts through. v0 Do you smell burned rubber with the hood closed? Feel your wheels. If one is hot, a brake shoe may be dragging, or you may have left the parking brake on. If neither of these checks out, an overheated clutch may be the cause. Chapter 20: Troubleshooting Leaks, Squeaks, Smells, and Strange Sensations A 2 7 i«* Do you smell oil burning? (It has a thick, acrid odor.) First check the oil dipstick by following the directions in Chapter 3. Your oil pressure gauge may be lying, and you may be out of oil. Or your engine may be overheating, and your temperature gauge may be broken. If neither is the case, look around the engine for an oil leak that may be frying in the heat of the running engine. If the oil situation seems to be okay, check the transmission fluid dipstick. Sometimes a faulty vacuum modulator can siphon the fluid out of the transmission and feed it to the engine, where it's burned. Also, if the transmission fluid is very low, it can be burned in the transmission because the gears aren't lubricated enough and are getting very hot. V Do you smell oil or exhaust fumes in the passenger compartment? The cause could be burned oil from the engine area — but it could also be a faulty exhaust pipe under the car that lets exhaust gases get into the vehicle through the floorboards. Exhaust fumes are full of carbon monoxide, so if you smell oil or exhaust in the car, be sure to keep your windows open at all times and have the problem checked out as quickly as you can. We've all heard stories about people who have died on the highway from carbon monoxide or from passing out at the wheel because of it. Such stories are true. W Do you smell something sweet and steamy? Take a look at the temperature gauge or light on your dashboard to see whether your car is overheating. Chapter 14 tells you how to cool things down. v* Do you smell rotten eggs? The smell is probably coming from the catalytic converter, which is part of the exhaust system. The converter may be malfunctioning, or you may have a problem with your engine. C Do you smell burned toast (a light, sharp odor)? Unless you've brought breakfast with you, it may be an electrical short circuit, or the insulation on a wire may be burning. Check around under the hood. Driving is a bit risky, so either get to the nearest garage or have a technician come to you. Cadillac . Long time ago biomassis use for what?
do not no Volkswagen Cabrio. * V* Do you smell gasoline? If you just had trouble starting the car, the engine may be flooded. Wait a few minutes and try again. If the smell comes from under the hood area, check your fuel injection system or carburetor to make sure that it isn't leaking fuel. Also check your fuel pump. The gasoline will wash a clean streak across it, which can be seen with the naked eye. Then check for leaks down the fuel line all the way to the fuel tank. Also, check all the fuel lines and hoses. If they've rotted or are disconnected, you'll smell fuel vapors without seeing any leaks. Taking a look under the vehicle after it's been parked overnight may help, but remember that fuel evaporates quickly, so the clues may be stains rather than wet spots. Obviously, you don't want to smoke while you're doing this! But then you never want to smoke when you're working on your car. ft Off Part IV: Dealing with On-the-Road Emergencies Gasoline ignites easily, and gasoline vapors can explode, so if you smell gasoline — and you didn't just fill your tank — find the source of the leak and have it repaired immediately. If your usual repair facility isn't close by, either drive to the closest garage and have them repair it, or call your auto club and have them deal with the leak by either fixing it on the spot or towing the vehicle to a repair facility. Smoke If you see smoke coming from your tailpipe, pay attention to the color for clues to what the problem is: If you see white vapor on a cold morning, disregard it if it stops after the car warms up. If it continues after the car is warm, a cracked engine block or cylinder head or a leaky head gasket may be letting water into the engine. You'll need professional help with this one. If you see black smoke and you have a carburetor, the fuel/air mixture may need to be adjusted to a leaner setting. You can find information about adjusting it in Chapter 13. Black smoke from a vehicle with fuel injection usually requires special diagnosis and should be left to a repair facility. You can check to see whether the fuel/air mixture is too rich by running your finger around the inside edge of the tailpipe (first make sure that it's not hot). If carbon comes off on your finger, the mixture is probably too rich. Cadillac . To build ramp for car-parking?

Remedying this situation usually costs at least $1,000. But it may simply mean that the oil hasn't been changed and has gotten so low and cruddy that it's smoking. If this is the case — and you're the one responsible — shame on you! Chapter 15 tells you how to change your oil quickly and easily. If the smoke is light gray, the car may be burning automatic transmission fluid. Check the transmission dipstick. Is the fluid dark and burned-looking? Does it smell burned? With luck, you may just need to change the fluid. A faulty vacuum modulator can also suck transmission fluid into the engine, where it's burned in the cylinders and causes the same type of smoke to come out of the tailpipe. You can usually replace the vacuum modulator quite cheaply. Or the smoke may mean that your transmission is going out. Chapter 20: Troubleshooting Leaks, Squeaks, Smells, and Strange Sensations Being low on transmission fluid can cause the same symptoms as a transmission that needs servicing, repair, or replacement. To avoid paying for work that your vehicle may not need, be sure to read Chapter 17 before you see a specialist. Leaks Pay close attention to leaks. Running a vehicle that's drastically low on vital liquid can ruin your engine. After you find the source of the leak, the following information will help you decide whether you can handle it yourself or you need professional help. If water is getting inside your vehicle, check the rubber gaskets and weather-stripping around the windows, doors, and sunroof, and refer to Chapter 24 for instructions on how to fix it. Here's an easy way to see whether anything is leaking out from under your vehicle, and a few pointers to help you decide what to do about it: Cadillac . How many cars can fit on the interislander?
